John Gordon, died at 5am on 16th September 1869 at Brahan Ferry. He was 78 years old, journeyman gardener, married to Elizabeth Gordon. His parents were Alexander Gordon, agricultural labourer and Margaret Gordon, MS [maiden surname] Macdonald. He died of cancer in the abdomen for four months as certified by D Manson, MD, Strathpeffer. The informant was Donald Gordon, grandchild of Brahan Lodge.
