WW - Peter McLachlan - died 11th Nov 1848 in Glasgow
NOTE: This might not be 'our' Peter. Aidrie is 26 kms north of Strathaven and the 1841 census has him as a lime quarryman rather than a collier (ie coal). On the other hand, the year 1848 is consistent with James's statement that he was 6 years old when his parents died.
