Death : This little David might have died about 1844 as an infant or toddler. Another child who was born about 4 years after this David, was also named David. This early death is just speculation based on the understanding that the David, who migrated to SA, was almost certainly born after the 1841 census. So maybe the first David died and the second David (our David) was named after his little brother. If that is the case we could think of the little boy dying of an illness at about 3 years old, perhaps when May was already pregnant with the second David. Just guess work. |
