 | Finlayson - youngest girls - Eveline, Ruby & Marie Finlayson - about 1893 This photo must have been taken on the same day as the big family photo. The girls are photographed indoors whereas the family photo is outside - probably in front of the family home. They must have come straight from one venue to the other because (a) the wattle leafs are in both - with Marie holding it in the family photo and Eveline holding it in the indoor photo, (b) it looks like the same chair, and (c) Marie and Eveline are wearing the same outfits for both photos, although Ruby had a change of clothing. With the painted scene at the back, the indoor setting looks like a photographer's studio - but maybe it was a stylish room in the family house.
It was probably done by the same photographer - Hammer & Co.
Sadly, Eveline died a few months later. |
